- During pregnancy, it is very, very important to track your nutrition. Your growing baby needs very specific vitamins and minerals, as well as calories and protein, to grow properly. Without proper nutrition, there are many birth defects that can affect your baby.
- Tracking your nutrition during pregnancy using a nutrition tracking app which specificially helps preganant women is a great tool. This app will help you see how much nutrition each meal and food can give you so you can plan and track your intake each day.

However, for a few dollars per month you can access more tracking tools (as pictured above). In my opinion, this is well worth it because it saved me A LOT of time and energy.

Other pregnancy nutrition tracking apps
There are several other pregnancy diet apps available. These are apps specifically about pregnancy dieting. The Cronometer app can be used at anytime during your life, from pregnancy to postpartum, and for losing weight after baby arrives, all the way through menopause!
The reason why I don’t use these is because Cronometer helps me track specific food products which I purchase from stores like Amazon and Trader Joe’s.
Other apps only let me track nutrition from the USDA database which does not show specific nutrition for these specific grocery store products.
This is a major inconvenience because I need to know the exact nutrition for the products I use, not just guess.
