Best Instant Pot
I use the Instant Pot Pro. I have both the 8 quart and 6 quart models. I only use the Pro version because it has silicone-lined handles. The other pressure cookers do not have handles to lift out the pot. I highly recommend buying one with handles built-in so it’s easier to remove the inner pot after cooking!

How to Cook Quinoa in Instant Pot
Makes about 7-8 cups cooked quinoa
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups dry quinoa (1lb)
- 3 1/4 cup water or broth
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, optional
Directions
- Rinse quinoa to remove any sediment.
- Combine rinsed quinoa and water or broth in Instant Pot or pressure cooker.
- Cover with lid.
- Set to HIGH pressure for 3 minutes.
- NATURAL release for more tender quinoa, or QUICK release for more firm quinoa.
Tips for cooking quinoa in pressure cooker
- Rinse the quinoa using a fine mesh strainer, or use a carafe with spout so that you don’t waste quinoa down the drain. See video demonstration.
- Use water for basic flavor. Use broth for savory flavor.
- This is a great way to batch meal prep quinoa!
Freezing instructions
- Portion quinoa into amounts you want to serve.
- I store mine in silicone freezer bags or regular freezer bags for up to 1 month.
