Magnesium-Rich Chocolate Nice Cream: A Healthy & Delicious Dessert!

What is Magnesium Chocolate Nice Cream?

  • Magnesium is an important mineral. It’s found in dark chocolate, almonds, molasses and bananas.
  • This Chocolate Nice Cream recipe was formulated to offer maximum magnesium from whole food ingredients. No supplements necessary!
  • Get 90 mg magnesium from food sources by enjoy just 1 serving of this simple blender recipe.
  • Instead of drinking magnesium hot chocolate or buying magnesium body butter, make this creamy and satisfying dessert.

Ingredients

Here’s an overview of the four simple ingredients needed to make this magnesium rich Chocolate Nice Cream recipe:

Frozen Bananas

Bananas are a good source of magnesium and give this recipe body and creaminess.

  • In a blender, add 3 frozen bananas.

Wholesome Sweeteners Organic MolassesPhoto example of Wholesome Sweeteners Organic Blackstrap Molasses, Unsulphured (Pack of 4) on Amazon.

The Wholesome Sweeteners brand of molasses is unsulphured and organic, which I prefer. I’ve also found the nutrition facts for thsi product show a lot more plant based iron. This brand includes a lot of magnesium as well.

  • Add 2 tablespoons Wholesome Sweeteners Organic Molasses

Organic Raw Cacao Powder

I like to purchase the Z Natural Foods Organic Raw Cacao Powder in bulk on Amazon. It’s packed with magnesium, protein and lots of other great nutrition without adding a lot of fat.

  • Add 3 tablespoons Z Natural Foods Organic Raw Cacao Powder

Raw Almond Butter

Almonds are another good source of magnesium. Adding raw almond butter to this recipe gives it some fat and flavor.

  • Add 2 tablespoons Raw Almond Butter

Water

Add just a little bit of water to help everything puree. This is optional. Just 1/4 cup or 1/2 cup is all you need. If you want to make this a Chocolate Magnesium Drink, add 1-2 cups of water.

Directions

Simply combine all ingreidents together in a blender and blend on high speed until creamy. Transfer to a storage container and freeze for 30 minutes or overnight. Or, enjoy immediately if desired.
