Easy freezable spaghetti sauce
- Makes 4 frozen packages

- Wusthof 8″ chef knife
- Norpro Canning Wide Mouth Plastic Funnel, Green
- Vitamix Blender
- Stockpot with lid
- Cutting board
- Cooking utensils
- 4 quart sized plastic freezer bags
Ingredients
- 2 28oz cans Cento San Marzano Tomatoes
- 3-4 tablespoons olive oil (optional)
- 3-4 cloves peeled garlic
- 3 teaspoons Italian dried herbs
- 3 teaspoons dried oregano
- 1-2 teaspoons salt (optional)
- 1 cup water
Directions
- In a large stockpot, heat olive oil and add garlic cloves. Let cook until fragrant, about 1 minute on medium heat.
- Add canned tomatoes, dried Italian herbs, dried oregano, salt and water. Stir.
- Simmer over medium heat for 30-45 minutes, or until desired consistency.
- Let sauce cool. Transfer to blender and puree until desired consistency.
- Write recipe name and date on four quart sized freezer bags.
- Using funnel, pour freezable spaghetti sauce into prepared bags.
- Close bags tightly, pressing out any air remaining.
- Transfer to flat surface in freezer.
- Store in freezer for 1 month, or longer.

- This freezer tomato sauce is great over cooked pasta like spaghetti, penne, capellini angel hair and ravioli.
- Use this tomato sauce for pizza.
- Use this sauce as a dipping sauce for bread or vegetables.
