Looking for an easy Daniel Fast dessert recipe? Make this quick dessert bowl in less than 10 minutes. One of our most favorite desserts is a big bowl of fresh fruit tossed with cinnamon, lemon juice, maple syrup or stevia extract, and vanilla extract.

You can use any fruit you have on hand, even thawed frozen fruit. The combination of the fruit with these flavorings makes this an exciting dish that is easy to prepare in less than 10 minutes.

Healthy dessert recipe

What is even better is that this oil-free dessert is packed with healthy vitamins and minerals your body needs with absolutely zero fat. It is recommended by physicians that we consume 3-4 medium sized pieces of fruit per day, which means you can enjoy your fruit servings as a decadent dessert.

Not only is this a healthy dessert, there is absolutely no oil or fat in this dish, making it a perfect dessert for weight loss. You can enjoy this dessert bowl other times of the day, not just in the evening as a dessert.  Have kids? This is a great dessert for children!

Daniel Fast dessert bowl

Makes 2 servings

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 banana, peeled and sliced
  • 1 apple or persimmon, seeds removed and medium diced
  • 1 orange, peeled, seeds removed and medium diced
  • 4 dates, pitted, chopped
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1-2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp maple syrup (optional) or 4 drops stevia extract

DIRECTIONS:

Combine all ingredients into a large mixing bowl or two small serving bowls. Toss well to coat fruit in flavorings. Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.

Easy meal prep tip: You can prep this dish ahead of time by simply combining all of the ingredients into a bowl and storing them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.

Serving suggestions: This dessert can be served alongside non-dairy vanilla ice cream for an extra decadent dessert. Or, add your favorite oil-free granola to give it some crunch. You can also sprinkle a little of your favorite nuts or seeds if desired.
