What is Daily Dozen food?

  • The Daily Dozen is a checklist of some of the healthiest foods created by Dr. Greger.
  • This checklist includes a variety of whole food, plant based ingredients to add to your meal plan each day, as well as water, exercise and essential supplements.
  • The goal with adding the Daily Dozen to your day is to maximize nutrition. It helps you focus on what you need to eat, rather than what you cannot eat.

I’ve been following the Daily Dozen checklist since 2020 and it’s made meal planning and meal prep easy and healthy! Below is my list of recommended foods you can purchase on Amazon.

Pantry organization ideas

I organize my pantry by Daily Dozen food group to make meal planning easier. Here’s a quick tour of my small kitchen pantry organization system using food storage containers I purchased on Amazon:

Legumes

Whole Grains

It’s recommended by Dr. Greger we enjoy 3 servings of whole grains each day. This can include grains such as oats, rice, whole wheat flour, whole grain bread, quinoa and more.
